2010 Olivine Quarry Field Trip Report:
The trip to the Olivine Corporation quarry was quite a success. Corky Smith enthusiastically discussed the geology of the area, the minerals present and the many uses of Olivine in today's industries. This was an excellent opportunity to collect a great quantity of material for the lapidary and collector alike. Look for this neat green rock at future club events! We have been invited to return next year so look forward to another great field trip to the Twin Sisters!
